Supracal K2 is a unique combination of Calcium, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin K2 along with Magnesium and Zinc. Supracal K2 helps in adequate utilization of calcium in bone and heart. Inadequate levels of calcium can cause decreased bone mineral density, which can cause an increase in the risk of bone fractures. Supplemental calcium helps promote bone mineral density and can prevent osteoporosis.
But, an elevated consumption of calcium may raise the risk for heart disease and cause calcium deposits in blood-vessel walls and soft tissues. Vitamin K2 is associated with the inhibition of arterial calcification and arterial stiffening.

Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics functions of the product
Supracal K2 is a unique combination of vitamins and minerals, which help in maintaining bone architecture and health. Aberrant calcium metabolism can lead to disorders such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.
Calcium is an essential mineral required for the development and maintenance of bone and teeth. Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble sterol, aids in the regulation of calcium and phosphate homeostasis, and bone mineralization. Its activated form promotes absorption of calcium from the intestine, decreases the excretion of calcium and maintains calcium homeostasis. Vitamin K2 augments calcium utilization and regulates calcium level in the body. Insufficient vitamin K2 leads to decreased bone mineral density, a key factor in osteoporosis, and an excess of calcium in the arterial wall, which increases the risk of heart disease. Vitamin K2 appears to be a co-factor with Vitamin D4 and together they are a much more potent force to mineralize bone and amazingly de-mineralize soft tissue. Zinc is a trace element, form an essential part of many enzymes, and play a key role in protein synthesis and in cell division. Magnesium is important for the normal functioning of cells, nerves, muscles and bones.
