Indication & usage
- Symptomatic relief of upset stomach associated with hyperacidity, including heartburn, gastrointestinal reflux, acid indigestion and sour stomach

- Reducing the risk of hypertension, atherosclerosis and heart stroke
Composition
Each 1 g sachet contains: Magnesium oxide equivalent to Magnesium 300 mg.
Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics functions of the product
Magnesium neutralizes gastric acid, thereby increases pH of stomach and duodenal bulb, and increases lower esophageal sphincter tone. Magnesium has been shown to reduce platelet aggregation by inhibiting the influx of calcium.
Dosage and administration
Oro dispersible powder. No water required. Can be taken with or without food or as directed by the physician
Contraindications
If you are hypersensitive to magnesium or any other component of formulation.
Side effects
Stomach upset and diarrhea, Hypermagnesemia, Milk-alkali syndrome, rebound hyperacidity may occur. A serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
Warning & Precautions
Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependency, liver disease, kidney diseases, phenylketonuria (PKU).
Interactions
It may produce interactions with certain drugs, especially cellulose sodium phosphate, digoxin, and sodium polystyrene sulfonate. Magnesium can bind with certain medications and prevents absorption. If you are taking tetracyclines medication leave a gap of at least 2 to 3 hours. If you are taking a bisphosphonate, thyroid medication, or quinolone antibiotic, ask your doctor or pharmacist about how long you should wait between doses and for help finding a dosing schedule that will work with all your medications.
Usage in pregnancy & lactation
During pregnancy, this product should be used only when clearly needed. It is not known whether this product passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
