Description

Indy alkyd paint is a type of anti-corrosion coating based on industrial alkyd resin Medium in Alvan and air-dry colors that are used on metal surfaces, especially metal niches. This coating acts as a stainless paint on the surface and is single-layer or with a variety of alkyd primers with special and different formulations، It is produced and implemented in different climatic conditions. alkyd dyes dissolve well in aliphatic solvents such as white sprite. Oil paints are air-dry and combine with oxygen and dry. Resin used in oil alkyd paint or niches, alkyd resin is the medium industrial oil or Medium Oil Alkyd Resin. These types of alkyds include 45-55 percent of oil weight. Alkyd resins with a medium oil chain length are perfectly soluble in aliphatic and aromatic solvents, but are not compatible with alcohols. Also, industrial alkyd resin due to their improved properties, including flexibility, lack of brittleness and good adhesion and high resistance to corrosion، It is more widely used in the formulation of stainless production than other resins.

Implementation Method

Surface preparation:
1. The work should be free from rust and corrosion.
2. The minimum degree of cleanliness of the surface is Sa2½.
3. The substrate should be free of moisture, dirt, grease and oil.

The implementation is done in two stages:
First layer: one layer of oil-based alkyd rust-proof paint should be diluted with oil thinner according to the application conditions and applied with a brush, roller, airless or gun with the minimum applicable thickness and make sure that the surface is fully coated.
Second layer: After 24 hours, apply the second layer of alkyd rustproof paint with a thickness that is appropriate based on the application and weather conditions.
At the time of execution, the ambient temperature should be between +10 and +40 degrees Celsius, the surface temperature should be 3 degrees higher than the dew point, and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
