Aberrant calcium metabolism can lead to disorders such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"product-desc-text\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Calcium is an essential mineral required for the development and maintenance of bone and teeth. Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble sterol, aids in the regulation of calcium and phosphate homeostasis, and bone mineralization. Its activated form promotes absorption of calcium from the intestine, decreases the excretion of calcium and maintains calcium homeostasis. Vitamin K2 augments calcium utilization and regulates calcium level in the body. Insufficient vitamin K2 leads to decreased bone mineral density, a key factor in osteoporosis, and an excess of calcium in the arterial wall, which increases the risk of heart disease. Vitamin K2 appears to be a co-factor with Vitamin D4 and together they are a much more potent force to mineralize bone and amazingly de-mineralize soft tissue. Zinc is a trace element, form an essential part of many enzymes, and play a key role in protein synthesis and in cell division.
